Check-in time begins at 4pm. Check-out time is at 12pm.
We offer early check-in and late check-out depending on availability. Please ask our Concierge team, and we will try our best to accommodate you. Adjustments may incur a charge.
Our Personal Concierge team specializes in assisting with every detail of each guest’s itinerary, from securing sought-after dining reservations and spa treatments to arranging private tours, carriage rides, or harbor cruises. Make sure to complete your pre-stay survey, which will assist your Personal Concierge in providing you with insider access to other properties within the BHC collection. Our general Concierge and Front Desk teams can also assist with itinerary planning.
We highly recommend reserving your preferred dining, spa, and activity experiences in advance to ensure availability, especially during weekends and special events.

Our resort experience fee includes morning coffee and evening refreshments, priority spa and dining reservations, and access to all hotel amenities.
Additional amenities include: Access to our seasonal events and special programming; Access to our BHC Trolley, stopping at five downtown collection locations; Opportunities to test drive our fleet of BMW vehicles, based on availability; Refillable water bottles; Access to city cruiser bicycles (two bikes per two guests for one hour); athletic services at our jogger station; Access to electric vehicle charging stations; Unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi; Ability to stream from personal devices and preferred apps in room; Daily newspaper; Overnight shoeshine (one pair per room per night); Access to laundry and dry cleaning services. Inclusions are subject to change at any time. The total charge of $40 plus tax will be added to your guest room folio.
If you need to cancel your reservation, you will receive a full refund if you cancel by 4 PM (Charleston local time), at least 72 hours before your scheduled check-in. Cancellations after this point will incur a fee of one night’s stay, plus tax. Early departures will also incur a fee of one night’s stay, plus tax. No-show guests will be responsible for the full cost of the reserved stay.
The Cooper is located in the heart of downtown Charleston along the Cooper River waterfront, adjacent to Joe Riley Waterfront Park. Getting to The Cooper.
The Cooper’s fleet of BMW house cars are available for guest pick-up and drop-off service within a 15-block radius, depending on availability. Airport transportation can be arranged through our Front Desk and Concierge teams for a fee.
Yes. Valet parking is available at the hotel’s main entrance for a fee of $59 per night.
Our lobby areas, grand lawn, and retail outlets are open to the public, along with our luxurious spa and dining locations (with the exception of Bar Marti). Our rooftop pool and marina are exclusive to hotel guests.
Yes, The Cooper offers several ADA-compliant rooms and suites. All of our public spaces are wheelchair accessible.

Reservations are recommended for The Crossing, our signature restaurant, while our other dining outlets welcome walk-ins. Resort casual attire is appropriate throughout the hotel. Guests of all ages are welcome at every venue, including Bar Marti, our guest-only pool bar.
Yes. Room service is available 24/7, with a variable menu depending on the time of day.
Yes. Our culinary and in-room dining teams are happy to accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions, including vegetarian, gluten-free, and allergy-sensitive needs. We ask that guests inform us of dietary needs in advance of their stay or upon arrival, so our team can ensure every meal is prepared appropriately.
Yes. The Cooper pool is open year-round, although it may close in the event of inclement weather.
We recommend booking your spa treatments in advance of your arrival to ensure availability for your preferred time and therapist. A spa Concierge will be happy to assist you in customizing your experience. Access to The Spa at The Cooper’s relaxation lounge, wet areas, and changing areas is reserved exclusively for guests and visitors with confirmed treatment reservations.
Guests must be 21 years of age or older to reserve and check in to accommodations at The Cooper. We warmly welcome families and guests of all ages to enjoy our public spaces and dining venues. For the comfort and safety of all guests, certain facilities have age requirements:
The Spa at The Cooper: Access is reserved for guests 18 years and older.
The Pool Terrace: Guests under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The Marina: While all guests may stroll the marina promenade, participation in boating or charter activities may be subject to age and safety requirements established by our maritime partners.
Yes. The Cooper contains 20,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space, including a grand ballroom, several meeting rooms, and a boardroom. Plan Your Event.
Our expert event planning team works with the best local partners in floral design, decor, and entertainment, while catering is provided by our elite in-house culinary team. Audio-visual and technology services are available by request.
Event guests who are staying overnight at The Cooper have access to all amenities. To protect the privacy and experience of our hotel guests, non-hotel guests attending events have access to our public outlets and amenities only.
The Cooper welcomes well-behaved pets as part of your stay. Guests are kindly asked to inform us in advance when traveling with pets, as accommodations are limited to two animals per room. For the comfort and safety of all guests, pets may not be left unattended in guest rooms. Our team is happy to assist with any special arrangements needed during your visit.
Yes. Guests arriving before check-in are welcome to enjoy select amenities, including luggage storage and pool access, based on availability. Day-use rooms may also be arranged in advance for added comfort. Please contact our Front Desk or Concierge team prior to arrival to ensure we can accommodate your request.
